I’m such a fussy little thing when it comes to jewellery (and pretty much everything else in my wardrobe come to think of it). I cant say I'm a massive fan of bold statement pieces either, however, I'd suddenly began following the tattoo choker trend a few months back and on the hunt for something a bit different from  the usual, using Instagram I'd been eyeing up a couple of the independent stores that sell these handmade chokers all with varieties of charms.

Of course I was over the moon when LunaWonder asked me if i was interested in receiving one or two little treasures from their current collection - (lovely service by the way from Lili who very kindly emailed me). Due these being very trinkety, they would make an amazing gift and the packaging was super lovely also. I would recommend that if you're not into the loud statement necklaces, just layering a few of these creates a really grungey/ 90's look especially if worn with an off shoulder crop or loose tee even.

Thankyou LunaWonder again for the treats!

Hope you enjoyed this little read, please follow me on bloglovin / instagram if you want to keep updated with my latest posts

BLACK TIED REVIEW + 15% DISCOUNT

black tied review & 15% discount!

june month 014
MEDIA SOURCE: MY OWN

I've never considered myself to own that many pieces of everyday jewelry if non at all; i find when i have worn rings and bracelets in the past they have often been too large and fallen off throughout the day or been an annoyance to my skin. After finding a few well fitting midi rings from Topshop and Primark, I've really loved adding something like a finishing touch for example to match the hardware on my handbag - very small finishing touches that help to bring an outfit together i think!

Mainly going for silver/ rustic metal, i was on the hunt for a bracelet or something along those lines! I had seen Barbara (thepersianbabe) on YouTube talk recently about a pearl bracelet in a recent haul video that clasped around your wrist but didn't actually fasten, the pearls didn't meet however you could adjust the bracelet so it obviously didn't fall off... I'd wanted one similar for a while but had no clue where to look. I was then so so excited when i found Black Tied on Instagram!

Black Tied are an independent jewelry company that sell handmade, edgy on trend pieces based in Ireland, the staff and customer services are beyond lovely and helpful and i am so excited that they sent me this bracelet and a 15% discount code to give to you which is valid until the 21st of July!

The packaging of the item was super lovely and the bracelet is stunning, It is the same style as the pearl bracelet mentioned above although has two arrow heads/ spikes facing each other which i honestly prefer so much more. The discount code you're able to use at the final step of the checkout after being redirected back to their website from PayPal and is HATTYJANE !

Thank you Black Tied for the gorgeous bracelet!

Lots of Love,

LONDON & MINI HAUL

Being a countryside girl at heart, I’ll admit, living in such a rural area can be beyond boring at times! Forever lusting to live in a big city, London is more than the ideal escape every once in a while just to help put things into perspective. Not only do I love that It's so cosmopolitan, I still cant seem to come to terms with the buzz of the place and how not a minute is wasted there, taking a step back and people watching is something I cant help but do. Being beyond inspired by street style and adoring the narrow cobbed streets with ALL my favourite stores on their doorsteps, I was no way going to turn my mums offer down!

Finally, after getting the majority of my GCSE examinations out of the way, she proposed last minute we all deserved a day out (we being my parents and my grandparents).

Saturday started early at 6.30... and with absolutely no clue of what I was going to wear or what bag to take (as per usual)! We then caught the train at 9am and arrived at Kings Cross for 10.30 - I would definitely recommend pre-booking First Class as it is so much more roomy and Breakfast is included, perfect for if you're in a rush getting ready and you don't have time to eat beforehand. The day was spent mooching about, looking around ect as we didn't have much time to see much as the show was a matinee performance, however I did manage to pick up a few little treats for myself with the excuse 'for coping with my GCSE's'.

The Commitments was amazing; like most of the shows in London you can set your expectations high for them never to be let down! Afterwards we took a stroll to China Town and to a bite to eat and I finally got around to trying Bubble Tea from Chatime which was delicious!!

Here you can watch my London Vlog + Mini lookbook of some things which i purchased on my trip!

Thankyou for visiting my blog I really appreciate some of the lovely comments which I get on my posts and to know that people are actually reading the posts which I write! Hopefully I'll be writing another soon...

(Roll Neck- George at Asda, Checked Plaid Shirt - Wrangler Vintage, Out From Under Kimberly Peep Toe Shoes in Black from Urban Outfitters, Joni Jeans at Topshop, Belt - Charity Shop, White Clutch - H&M, Sunglasses - H&M).

Last weekend I took a trip into the town centre to pick up a few bits and pieces for my holiday (must haves, of course...)! This outfit is what I would usually wear for short shopping trip! I've really been loving the black roll neck knits over the past winter months and to be honest even though its spring now I doubt I'll be able to part with this particular one, borrowed of my mum its well worn in now however I cant find one which i love as much. Secondly, my new shoes. are. heaven. to look at anyway as they have quite literally rubbed my feet to shreds however they make me taller so i wont complain, these i purchased from Urban Outfitters and despite them being fairly pricey I couldn't leave this lovely pair on the shelf!

Ever since seeing an image on Tumblr of the Oslen twins, I think it was Ashley papped wearing a plaid checked shirt belt. I absolutely love the Oslen twins and their fashion and i think this look is probably the easiest to recreate! Charity shops, Primark etc. you can pick up these shirts for less than £10, its worth looking in the mens section if you want a less fitted style! If you want to look effortless this look is too ideal, 90's inspired grunge! With a white clutch too and Ozzy shades I think it keeps the look very fresh and still on trend! You could even vary the colour of the shirt or bag depending on the season!

Lots of love,

5 SPRING BEAUTY FAVOURITES

5 spring beauty favourites
april month 014

Here are my top 5 beauty favourites for these remaining spring months! Please don't forget to follow my new youtube channel as next week I'll be uploading my bedroom/ homeware haul! If you want to keep up with recent blog posts please follow me on Bloglovin or Instagram!

(The Bodyshop, to the left Tea Tree Pore Minimiser and on the right Tea Tree oil)
I didn't want to class these two as separates because I think that they go hand in hand! I haven't been in body shop for a long while but when I was walking past one of their stores last week I couldn't resist having a peak! Id forgotten about so many products which I used to practically cherish! The scents of all their products are so fresh and organic and of course you could find a cheaper alternative but its kind of like buying a little treat for yourself without breaking the bank. The pore minimiser really does do what it says on the tin; It's super smooth and buttery yet doesn't take too long to absorb into your skin so you can get pretty much strait on with applying your make-up which for me, is a must! The oil I tend to use at night after giving my face a hot soak with a flannel, I've found by using both these products my skin has been a lot clearer these past two weeks!

(Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in the shade 1C0 SHELL)
I'm going to try not to write too much about this next product as I plan to do a review sometime next week about it. This is the Estee Lauder Double Wear. I've found myself over the past year mixing foundations together as my skin is very pale and I couldn't find a build able/ high coverage foundation which was pale enough for my skin tone! This however, is God's gift! It lasts ALL day without having to reapply with a build-able coverage and is my exact skin tone!

(Topshop LIPS in RIO RIO)
I swear I haven't ever left the house on weekends without wearing this lipstick these past few weeks! It is the first lipstick from Topshop which I've ever tried and for £8 I don't think you can go wrong! This particular colour is in the shade Rio Rio which has a matte finish. When applied it has an orange undertones which  really helps to brighten up any complexion. I have such pale skin and I find it very flattering especially when my make-up is minimal.

(Top Left is Pure Colour Blush in 08 Passion, Bottom Left is Pure Colour in Medium Bronze Goddess 02, Top Right is Pure Color in 10 Lover's Blush and Bottom Right is 02 Pink Kiss).
I cant stop using Estee Lauder's Deluxe All-Over Face Compact! My favourite shade for spring particularly is 08 Peach Passion which I lightly brush onto the apples of my cheeks. It looks gorgeous with a soft pink or even a bold lip and not much of the product is needed as it is such highly pigmented.

Lastly, this product I've never even seen reviewed before or spoken about but its absolutely amazing. I picked this Laidbare 'Spot the difference' cream at a TK Maxx store a couple of months ago and it really does do wonders. The applicator is so hygienic as I often feel like with most spot creams you have to apply it onto the actual blemish which of course must pick up the germs and so forth, with this I can just squirt some onto the back of my hand and apply with clean hands! I tend to use this all over my face and after its soaked in, your skin no longer feels oily but quite the opposite! I would recommend using after exfoliating!

Its been a really long time since ive sat down and written a blog post which is mainly down to the fact exams are starting and I literally hardly ever have any time to relax and write a blogpost. Also I would hate to upload a post which if didn't enjoy writing then I know you wouldn't probably enjoy reading it either! This post was originally meant to be a beauty favourites but I've decided ive been writing this blog for a while now and I feel the urge to up my game a bit and just put myself out there more I guess so I've taken the challenge on of making a small YouTube channel where I will vlog hauls and monthly favourites etc

Here is the video featuring the very famous blogger favourite ZARA eye dress(not sure of the actual name!!) as well clothes from ASOS, Urban Outfitters and shoes from Office. I would be so so grateful if you was to subscribe to my channel and share with friends or even just like the video. Also I now have the Depop App so feel free to follow me on that also (@hattyjanes)!

PRE-FALL 014

personal pre-fall 014 favourites

january month 014

CHLOE PRE-FALL 014

Chic blanket coatsside-slit skirts, waterfall ruffles and mannerist blouses. I am especially in love with Clare Keller's designs this season! Next level haute couture, this Pre-Fall 2014 collection has a very feminine flirtatious feel, the pastel shades are almost angelic.

 KENZO PRE FALL 014

Another favourite of mine of course has to be Kenzo. I fell head over heels in love with their AW13 monochrome eye print that they interpreted into so many of their garments last season! Not only do i love the northwest American feel to the collection, but i think the old school, preppy library setting fits just right and makes the shoot look far from the usual.

NINA RICCI PRE FALL 014

Urban and were words Peter Copping used to describe his new Pre-Fall collection for the label. The whole look is very fresh and feminine, a very pale mauve (my favourite colour) is used all throughout the collection as well as sheer and crackle effect fabrics. I love how this season the accessories and the garments contrast and bounce off each other so well! Making it to one of my Pre Fall 014 favourites.

Lots of love,

Hatty x
